Power Shutoff Alert – October 21, 2019, 5:30 p.m.

Petaluma, California – Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) is alerting customers that they may need to turn power off to some of their customers in Sonoma County on Wednesday, October 22, 2019.  We have been informed that this power outage, if it occurs, will not affect customers in the City of Petaluma.  You can link to the address look up page here https://psps.ss.pge.com/ or check out the PG&E Map.

Residents can learn more about a PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff by visiting www.PGE.com/weather or call PG&E’s 24-hour power outage information center at 1-800-743-5002. Residents should make sure PG&E has their most current contact information online. Customers can also update their information by phone at 1-866-743-658.

Both the City and County are actively monitoring the situation with PG&E and will update the public as more is known. Residents are being updated about a potential PSPS event via social media. For updates, including the latest news and emergency information visit: www.SoCoemergency.org

For questions about the possible shut off, contact Sonoma County 2-1-1. Do not call 911 unless it’s an emergency.

The City of Petaluma’s emergency operations team will remain alert throughout the week  in case anything changes that may affect Petaluma residents and / or businesses.
